Flooding Mitigation and Shoreline Protection Project

Project Overview

Construction is underway on the City of Hollywood’s Tidal Flooding Mitigation and Shoreline Protection Project at multiple locations around North Lake and South Lake. This project is designed to reduce tidal flooding, strengthen shoreline infrastructure, and improve long-term resilience within the Hollywood Lakes community.

Work is currently active at multiple locations, including Sites 1, 9, 10, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.

Why This Project Matters

Tidal flooding impacts public safety, infrastructure, and access within the Hollywood Lakes community. This project is part of the City of Hollywood’s ongoing efforts to reduce flooding risks, protect shoreline infrastructure, and improve long-term resilience for residents, businesses, and visitors.
